Header image resizing?

I have placed customized head image in the child theme of my ogee theme at a resolution of 1200 x 250 pixels as was suggested by the customizer.

The image appears normal only in the “tablet” view. In the desktop it is stretched and pixilated and in the phone view it is being cropped.

Is there a trick to getting a custom header image to size properly across devices?

I was mostly concerned about hte desktop version to be honest?

Please ask the theme provider this. It’s not happening across WP sites, so it’s most likely theme issue, but could be a plugin. Check with them first.

I did, they are unresponsive. I guess I can go to another theme, but when I started searching there were so many people with similar questions I thought I would try support before baling on the theme.
