I use this theme in a network and after updating to 3.15 all header images are gone. I can’t find how to get them back. Was this setting (accidentally) skipped?

I am so sorry you had to face this problem.

Yes, this was an accidental mistake in the current version. Our developers are fixing it. The fix should be up in another couple of hours.

    Thanks.

Ok, I’m already looking around for alternatives and also finding out what I can so with the new background image that runs over into the header, but we’ll have more time to think such things when the sites can just be as they were.

    Thank you for your reply.

    Hi Roy,

We’ve fixed the custom header issue.
Thank you once again for helping us identify this issue.

We’re in the middle of making Responsive better while preserving backward compatibility. Specifically, we plan to:
    – make it faster
    – give more customization options
    – give readymade websites

Would you be open for a quick chat about this? What’s the best time and mode convenient for you?

    Hi

The header images have returned with the latest updates although I had added them back using customiser.

However the sidebars had also disappeared, which I only noticed on the latest update, but on rolling back to previous update have gone there too. 3.14 All Ok, 3.15 No header images or sidebars, 3.15.1 Headers returned, but no sidebars.

I have no problems with the sidebars in Versie: 3.15.1 nor in the previous version (neither when the headers were gone).

@cyberchimps I use this theme on a website that was already there when I got the ‘webmastership’. It’s the website of an organisation, so I can’t (or rather: won’t) change anything unless requested. The websites (it’s a network) look pretty old-fashioned, but as nobody is moving in order to suggest a more contemporary looking website, things remain as they are. I thought to use the theme update as leverage to get some motion, but that seem to haven’t worked ??

All this for saying: since the websites will keep looking as they do, I might not be the best reference for development of the theme.

Websites that I maintain in which I do have full control, also look simple and slightly old-fashioned, the good-old two column websites with header. I use another theme for most of them.
One missing setting that I did miss in the day when I had to work around the missing header image was the color setting of the site title text. Even with custom CSS I didn’t manage to change it.

Hello – I have the same problem as MikeA1: with 3.15.1, sidebars are missing – but only the right-hand sidebars on posts using the Default template. Sidebars appear for me in pages using the Sidebar/Content template.

@marshall-beck it is only the right sidebar that is missing. I am only using the right sidebar which is why I didn’t notice that left was OK. I have rolled back to 3.14 till we get a fix.

    I’m having the same issues.

@mikea1 Do you have instructions on how to roll back?

I’ve downloaded 3.14 but I get an error (Destination folder already exists…Theme installation failed.) when I attempt to install it.

    Hi @darrenshan

You can use the plugin WP Rollback to rollback the theme version. I have never used it for themes, but have successfully used it for plugins. Make sure you backup first!

Personally I restored a previous backup which was taken immediately before the update. There are numerous backup plugins available both paid and free. I personally use the pro version of UpdraftPlus as I frequently move sites around which this plugin lets you do very easily.
