• Hello,
This theme offers either the same header image for each page, or a random header image for each page.

How can one modify the code so as to offer a distinct header image for each page (but not random)?

    Thanks!

  • That theme is very outdated – you really should consider finding another theme that’s current and supported – you’re likely to have compatibility problems –

I now see you’d already been advised of this –

I realize it’s an old theme. What are potential compatibility issues? Would it involve working with the theme in later versions of WordPress? Or being able to view the site? So far I have had no issues.

I am still hoping someone might be able to point me in a specific direction. For example, I have been hoping to find where I can find the specific .php files for each page. If the header image is identified, it would be quite easy to change for each page. If it is somehow structured differently, maybe someone would have some insight as to how to do this.

That’s impossible for us to quantify without a thorough examination of the theme – which would really be beyond the remit of these forums.

Both – at the very least.

You would need to the theme’s developer help for this and it would seem that s/he is no longer supporting this theme.

The whole theme could cease to work, yes. There aren’t php files for each page – the header section is usually the same for the entire site – in header.php. You could probably do it using page-specific CSS or by using conditional code in the header.php file. Depends on the theme code and your site and what you want to do.
