    Thanks for your confirmation.

As to me, I never update the site in production… always on a staging site.

    Thanks for your message ??

I hope the Astra Team can fix it soon.

If you find a other solution, give me a update.

    Hi @joy0114,

The issue you are facing might be specifically related to the old Header/Footer Builder as we are unable to replicate it on our end. Also, we have replaced this long back with the new Header/Footer Builder with new features and improvements and I would recommend switching to the new Header/Footer Builder as we have also stopped providing support for the older one. Refer to this screencast for the steps to switch to the new Header/Footer Builder.

After switching to the new Header/Footer builder, kindly update the Astra theme to the latest version we just released today with the fix and see if you still face the issue.

    Hi @andix,

I understand that you are experiencing a similar issue and you’re of course welcome to keep an eye on this ticket. However, in order to request assistance please start a new, separate ticket of your own, as per this forum’s rules.

We’ll help you there. Meanwhile, please make sure to update the Astra theme to the latest version on your end too.

    Kind regards,
    Aradhy ??

    @andix

Same here. I contacted support and they said that the bug will be fixed with the next update, which unfortunately is not the case with 4.8.5. Once again typical ??
There is a bug in the HTML. The CSS class <div class=""ast-main-header-bar-alignment"">is provided with a double quote.
I have brought this to the attention of support and hope that they will fix it with the next update.

It’s time to bury astra. They screw up almost every update. Unfortunately, I still have one customer who is afraid of the effort. But I think he will soon agree.

    Hey Dieter,

    thanks for you message.

Then I’m glad it’s not a user error on my part ??

    Hi @bsfaradhy,

I took your advice to switch to the new header…
    What a pain !
And of course, there’s no way of going back…
And frankly, not everyone needs to manage their header and footer in a beautiful GUI, with modules to move around to build .
Some people have simple, unchanging, or almost unchanging, headers and footers, so there’s no need for many people to burden the DOM and review all the css rules for these areas.

But, well, it seems that complexity is a sign of progress. Personally, I like the “keep it simple and stupid” type of computing.

In short, we’ll say it’s solved, because the cause of the problem has been found (Astra opted for complexity over simplicity and efficiency, but wouldn’t we do for the UX God ?)

That said, see you soon in another post, because of course, the “new header/footer” also impacts the rest of the page …

    Best regards

    Hi @dieter93,

We have released an updated version with the fix and I would suggest updating to the latest version from your end as well and then testing it again.

As per this forum guide, I would ask you to please start your own thread. You can cross-link it to this one, so we are aware of both.

    Kind regards,
    Aradhy ??
