    Hi support.

I tried all the header layouts in Twentig plugin, however I require the logo to be on the left of the Site titel/tagline (so the header is slimmer – like the header size/height you have when site title/tag line is disabled).

I have a screenshot visually indicating it too if necessary, however I’m sure you know what I mean.

    Regards,
    Mario.

I have now made the logo and company name as one image instead (due to deadline), however it would still be good to hear your solution, as the text is illegible on mobile though.

As a developer, could I create my own custom header template, using one of your templates?

I see there is a CSS folder with header CSS files, I assume there is a header php file too that I would also need to copy and customize?

When you do plugin updates, I assume you don’t remove files such as custom CSS/PHP files?

I’d appreciate feedback and recommendation on this, thank you.

    Hi Mario,

You can create your custom header template by overriding the Twenty Twenty-One files inside your child theme. In your case, you can copy the twentytwentyone/templates/header/site-header.php and twentytwentyone/templates/header/site-branding.php files (with the same folder structure) into your child theme folder. Then you can make your changes.

Concerning the CSS, you should add it inside your child theme style.css file or the Customizer > Additional CSS panel. You shouldn’t make any changes directly inside the Twentig files (PHP and CSS); the plugin updates would override your changes.

    Hope that helps,
    Tom
