Header social email address

The header social email link for some reason adds an “https://” in front of the email address. How do I fix this?

Workflow:

In the header social email box, I put my email address (test@test.com). But when I click on/hover over the email icon on the header it links to https://test@test.com and/or “mailto:https://test@test.com”.

How do I remove the :https://” ?
