When I hit update or save on OpenMenu related items, it serves me this error:
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/cawd/public_html/goblin/wp-content/plugins/open-menu/openmenu.php:1) in /home/cawd/public_html/goblin/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 934

It seems to still be working, but throwing this error gives it the appearance that it isn’t.

The plugin also needs more descriptions on how to use the app. It makes it seem as though you have to do more work than is needed. It’s confusing.

New version has been released that hopefully resolves the header issue some users are experiencing. v1.4.5 should be live on WordPress shortly.

Please try the new version and let me know if that clears the header issue for you.

I’m not getting the headers message anymore, so that’s good.

Can you help me with another issue too? When the menu displays on my website, the “lunch” menu is displaying only the ‘soups and starts’ in the left column, which is very short, and then the ‘salad’ and ‘sandwich’ menus on the right column, which is very long. Any reason why it’s doing that? The dinner menu is showing correctly.

Two column listings break the columns up by the Menu Group count. It attempts to keep the columns with the same count.

We are working on a new version which will give you control over whether column counts are based off of Menu Groups or Menu Items.

OK, so it’s filling the right side column up first? I guess I don’t get it. (Sorry, have 2 children screaming around me while I scramble to get this website finished in time!)

It just alternates between the two columns by placing one Menu Group in each column. If you have three menus groups (soups, salad, sandwich) it means one column will have two groups will the other column will have one.

Oh OK, and there’s no way currently to choose. Not a problem, thanks!

No. Its automatic. The update where you can choose between splitting on Menu Groups or Menu Items will allow you to choose which provides better balance.

Perfect. I’m looking forward to it. For now, I just switched to 1 column. We’ll see what the client says tomorrow. Thanks OpenMenu Person!
