    Hi,

    I have the heading for the posts added automatically by MailPoet with the “automatic latest content” module, however despite setting the module to use the style for Heading 2 and setting a Heading 2 style in the theme, I’m just getting the style for an \<a\> object.

    Looking at the actual generated email, it appears as the heading is an \<a\> element nested inside an \<h2\>, and all nearly all formatting seems to be given the !important attribute for some reason, the styles for \<a\> are overriding my \<h2\> styles.

    Is there anything I can do to fix this? I’m running version 2.7.10.

    Thanks.

    Code below:

    <h2 class="m_-333659221085233747align-left" style="font-family:Arial,'Helvetica Neue',Helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:26px;color:#000000;color:#000000!important;background-color:transparent;border:0;font-weight:normal;font-style:normal;letter-spacing:normal;line-height:125%;margin-top:0;margin-right:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;padding-top:0;padding-right:0;padding-bottom:0;padding-left:0;border:0;text-align:left;">
       <a style="font-family:Arial,'Helvetica Neue',Helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:12px;color:#21759b;color:#21759b!important;background-color:transparent;text-decoration:none;border:0;word-wrap:break-word" href="https://www.example.com/?email_id=7&user_id=232&urlpassed=[hash]&controller=stats&action=analyse&wysija-page=1&wysijap=subscriptions" target="_blank" data-saferedirecturl="[url]&source=gmail&ust=[hash]&usg=[hash]">

  • Unfortunately, that’s a limitation of this version of MailPoet. Have you looked into MailPoet 3’s new editor https://demo3.mailpoet.com/launch/ ?

    Okay, well I’ve moved to MailPoet 3 (far less painful than I was expecting, but then I hadn’t been using v2 for a huge while) and it is working perfectly.

    Not sure what you have done with the scheduling, but the new cron job system is working far better than the old one (Plesk never seemed to really like it for some reason) and the overhauled new editor is really lovely.

    Cheers, and I look forward to seeing the new features roll out!
