It might be your theme, try live previewing the default wp theme and see

it could also be your settings (e.g. maybe you added a title in your event formats?)

I preview the site with theme Twenty Eleven and all look the same.
For sure it is something with the settings, but I can’t find which. Hopefully someone here can help…

how about wordpress twenty or thirteen theme? also, have you tried in Events > Settings > Formatting > Events > Default single event format
