headline of single category taken from latest event

    Is this using Settings > Pages > Event Categories > Override with Formats ? Also, you can see that at Settings > Formatting > Event Categories > Single Category Page

    Also, Have you tried to temporarily:

    – deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems

    yes the theme is accessing the_title() in page.php which is accessing the latest event instead of the category title

    i’ll just hack it out
