Heads up – Incompability with “Post Types Order”

    It seems this plugin is incompatible with the “post types order” plugin.

    When both are activated, its not possible to apply a “oderby” on a loop. the results of the loop are always returned as ordered with “post type order”.

    I do not think this is an issue with this plugin, as I now use “Simple Custom Post Order” and the sorting of the loop works fine again.

    Its rather an issue caused by “post type order” so this is just a heads-up for anyone having the same issue.

    If prefer sort apply through the code, include ‘orderby’ =>’menu_order’ within custom query arguments, more details at https://www.nsp-code.com/sample-code-on-how-to-apply-the-sort-for-post-types-order-plugin/

    is it possible to pass that to CCS shortcode?

    I think there’s also a setting in the plugin settings that affects the queries?

    Using the AutoSort option as ON you don’t need to worry about any code changes, the plugin will apply the customized post order on fly.

    ie did you disable Autosort?

    Good thought.

    Maybe I did not try all options as I realized the issue very late and had to finish the page.

    And the Simple Custom Post Order Plugin did solve all my issues – without any need to edit functions.php or other coding.

    I can confirm that this is resolved in the “Post Types Order” settings, by deselect the “Auto Sort” option.
