    Hi there @effi,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Old scheduled tasks are not deleted because they are still used for other purposes (statistics).

The size of database tables depends on how many subscribers you have and how many emails you send. Also, modern database systems are designed to handle many times more data than that in a performant way, and MailPoet has been designed to make use of such features to have little to no effect on your site’s speed.

Are you experiencing performance issues on your site? Can you tell us a bit more about it? When or what steps you have to perform to notice the performance issue?

    Hi there @effi,

    Thank you for the information.

We have some info about what should be expected with database usage in our documentation here:
    https://www.mailpoet.com/faq-mailpoet-performance/#faq-question-1583500223797

As mentioned though, since the old records are used for statistics, deleting old data would likely cause unexpected behavior + inaccurate stats.

I see there’s an open request for additional options for deleting old data / database optimizations on our feedback board here — it would be great if you could add your vote there to show your support for the request:
    https://mailpoet.canny.io/feature-requests/p/database-optimisation

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!

    Hi there @effi,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
