I installed the plugin in the online store, on some product images I noticed the absence of the jpg prefix. The picture is not available. Any ideas why some images are converted as .webp and not .jpg.webp?
Processing was started in the same way for the entire picture folder.

Can you put here link directly to that fish.jpg?
Maybe it’s not really a JPG, just wrong extension?
No idea, I have to try

Thanks for the answer, yes of course. I still see the same problem even in the WordPress admin panel in media files (some squares are empty) https://joxi.ru/82Q5Qw8hwEplG2
The server uses the GD library

Webp when viewed in Google chrome flickers and disappears …

If you see empty square, then your image is corrupted or file doesn’t exist

When I click on your link https://eventum.market/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/dityache-bazhannya-min-600×600.jpg I see 404 error

Apparently this forum replaces the letter “x” with a cross. Please do not copy the address but follow the image link again. There must be an English letter x between 600×600

    oh ok ??
well, I just tried to put manually your image on my FTP(s) and then use my Webp converter and everything works fine
    on apache and also nginx
so I have really no idea what’s wrong on your side :/
you’re first person reporting something like this
maybe try it again only with MISSING images button?

Thanks for the quick reply, the problem is not in missing images (this was probably an isolated case), but in the fact that after conversion some of the images are not shown. Please check the webp picture:

I have it flickering and disappearing …
    Are these hosting problems?

yes, i would suggest to delete this file manually from server and let plugin to create it again
but no, i’ve never seen something like this before
also when you want to save this image to PC, than its name change to dityache-bazhannya-min-600×600.jpg.jpg
    really strange

You are right, and you probably haven’t seen anything like this, but I managed to get to the bottom of it.
    Original picture: https://masmaster.com.ua/logo-f30dd146.webp ok!
The same picture but with the name: https://masmaster.com.ua/logo-f30dd146.jpg.webp – is given to the browser as .jpg! (while saving the right one, save as) – this is a hoster’s bug most likely.

Or maybe it is possible not to generate images with the name .jpg.webp?

you should contact your hosting provider, because that’s really weird :/
sure it is possible to save it just as .webp, but it will require rewriting many thing in my plugin and it will break functionality for everyone who will update, so I can not do that
