    Hi there,

Yes, the plugin needs file permissions to create a folder for custom markers in the directory structure. However, the ability to simply add a pin to the the map (and have it saved) is not affected by any file permissions, it should definitely still work.
However, if the issue occurred immediately after moving to VPS, it’s safe to assume the two are connected. As a start, I would suggest checking the WordPress MySQL database to see that the easy2map tables are correctly in the database. If not, I would suggest exporting all your maps (using the plugin’s export feature), the in-installing and re-installing the plugin.
Please email me at [email protected], and we can try to figure it out together.

    Cheers,
    Steven
