Hello I need help with editor. The links do not work

    Thanks for taking the time to view my request for help. I am trying to get my editor fixed, it has been a problem before. I had tinymce as a plugin took that out it worked. I have the same prolem now since I uprgraded to 4.0. I cannot get my links to work with the link button. They are placed in my content, but still after I changed my theme and flushed my cache. I have google chrome and am using a laptop. I am not sure what to do anymore.

  • You were using TinyMCE and discovered links don’t work on your site, then you removed the plugin and they still don’t work?

    Hi lori44 – WordPress 4.0 has the tinyMCE editor built in, so you don’t need that plugin.

    I would suggest deactivating that plugin, and then in the editor, select some text and try the link button….it should work fine.

    If not, please describe the problem more clearly when you say they “don’t work” – do you mean they don’t get a link created at all, or they do get linked but are not opening when you click on them in the front-end Post? Does anything happen? Do you get any error messages?
