Hello World example photo wont go away

  • Hi, im having issues getting the Hello world (with the read more link – that when pressed just goes to a 404 error page) at the bottom of my front page that changes pictures. it goes from cake pops, to milk and tomatoes, then to a yogurt parfait. i have done the steps you suggested in another post – going to appearance, customize, front page, then i hid the large high light post. BUT IT IS STILL THERE ON MY HOME PAGE. ahhhhh im going crazy here please help

    i am also unable to get rid of the extra grey drop down menu bar at the very top of my page above my title. please help me remove this also
