    Hi,

I’m trying the most basic modal with a stock WP theme. Somehow, it does not work. Clicking won’t open any new window. Yes, I deleted the cache. I can see jquery/emodal in the code, but the button (or link) just won’t work. Pretty strange.

I tested with Chrome and Firefox. Both fail to open any window on click. You can see it for yourself (for a limited time) here: https://animoog.org/database/expansion-packs/ … look for the ‘Open Model test’ button.

    Any clue?

Thanks for any support! — Alex

I havent looked yet but likely you havent enabled the modal. Either set the modal to load sitewide, or if per page/post then edit the page you want it to work on and below the content editor you will be able to enable modals in the Easy Modal Settings section.

Thanks! That’s correct, I wasn’t aware that we need to select the modal at the bottom of a page/post edit page. That wasn’t obvious at all to me.

I invite you to add a note about that in the modal general settings page (after the ‘Load type’ “Load this modal per page or sitewide.”), this will reduce the number of questions from newcomers like myself!

Thanks a lot for the reply, closing ticket ?? — Alex

We have been considering several methods of conveying that better and are open to suggestions. I don’t believe repeating the options below the select box will be enough though.

My suggestion, replace “Load this modal per page or sitewide.” with “Load this modal per page or sitewide. If per page or post, select the modal on the edit page.”

In any case, thanks for providing this plugin — Alex
