Hello world on Google

  • Did a search on Yahoo and Google on my blog which is hosted at a .com site

    Google:
    _________.com
    _________.com. Hello world! December 23rd, 2006 … Valid XHTML; XFN; WordPress.
    _________.com is proudly powered by WordPress Entries (RSS) and Comments (RSS).

    Yahoo:
    … Mail (will not be published) (required) Website. wonderMob.com is proudly powered by WordPress …

    Question:
    Is there a way to change the wordings above? Or does this happen to all WordPress blogs?

  • What has happened is that Google and Yahoo have crawled your pages before you customised them. Therefore they are showing what is in their cache. your pages will be updated eventually (next time they crawl your page) – however this happens less often for pages with a low pagerank. All you can do is wait and keep checking back.
