  • All you can really do is post links to your items in your web store.

    eh?

im still lost, was told i could make a dynamic website using this wordpress thing?

ive downloaded it, but now what?
    am i being that stupid?
it says on here: Before you begin the install, there are few things you need to have and do.

You need access to your site and its directory and software to proceed with the installation. These are:

Access to your web server (via shell or FTP)
    A text editor
    An FTP Client
    Your web browser of choice

???? what is this? what do i do now?

was told i could make a dynamic website using this wordpress thing

That’s correct. To fully realise the potential of WordPress, it would be a lot easier if you abandoned your web store and used an ecommerce plugin instead.

    now what?

Assuming you want to install WordPress in your root domain, you need to upload the contents of the unpacked wordpress folder to your site’s root folder using FTP or use file management application your host provides.

You also need to set up a database, a database user (with full privileges) on your hosting account. You may need your host’s assistance with this. Remember to make a note of the database name, the user name, the user’s password and the name of the database server. You will need these during the install process.

Then, using your web browser (Internet Explorer?), type https://your_domain_name/wp-admin/install.php to being the installation.

If this is beyond you, then you may want to consider employing someone to install WordPress for you. A basic installation shouldn’t cost very much.

I had a designer build my site for me and I can add text, pictures and new products now.
Esmi maybe you could help me!
I am really trying to do things on my own now and I am having a hard time with WordPress’s help page.
I wanted to get a book on the in and out of WordPress for small business owners.
Could you please recommend the right book for me?
I understand a lot of things but there is little thing that I have no idea what it means or what to do.
Thanks for the help! I have been trying to find information on Store – Settings – Admin
    Getting nowhere fast!
