• my husbands site was created with wordpress.com by someone else. I purchased hosting through GoDaddy and want to move to www.ads-software.com. I spoke with someone from GoDaddy who helped me go into WordPress.com and point to GoDaddy servers. I then installed WordPress on GoDaddy. Now what do I do? I cannot go into the link his url.com/wp-admin because it says “can’t establish a secure connection to the server”.. any help would be appreciated!

I run a website myself through www.ads-software.com and use BlueHost and never had any issues. I installed wordpress and immediately went into creating, so I am stumped!

  • Hi Joseph,

If I understand correctly, then your domain should already be pointing to Go Daddy hosting correct?

Just as a checklist could you confirm you have followed the same process has mentioned in this post here for moving domains from WordPress to another provider?

Can you connect via FTP using an FTP client like FileZilla? You can try using the DNS Tool and see if the nameservers are showing up correctly by crosschecking with Go Daddy.
