Help !! Again I've managed to mess up a simple theme!
-
I have my account hosted by BlueHost with the primary account being html created (without WordPress installed) and the 4 sub-domains having WordPressed installed on each. I’m presently working on one of the sub-domains, i.e. https://inspirations.motdaugrnds.com It is to be a “blog” (hopefully a scrolling discussion) about “What inspires…”
I’m using the TwentyTwelve WP theme. I thought it was going to have two vertical parts to it where my text can be on the left side of the “static front page” and the public discussions on the right side with categories and scroll options.
I keep reading/following the tutorials as I find them and I’ve managed to create one page (hopefully the “static front page”) with a picture from my computer all across the top where I wanted it.
I’ve also managed to get some texts on the left side of this static front page as well as a hyperlink to my primary domain. However, the hyperlink wounded up in the wrong place and duplicated/tripled. I thought I was placing it on the right side of this same page just above the “category” I would name “Let’s talk…” or “Discussions…” or something similar to this. (The menu under this category was going to be “What has inspired you?”.) Instead, that hyperlink winded up above the picture.
Also, no matter how many categories and/or menues I create & save, they do not show up on the right side of that static page; and it is the only page I’ve created. I believe one I created showed up…not sure without returning to look…but it was under what the TwentyTwelve template was showing as “examples”; and I don’t know how to get those examples off.
I know it’s probably something real simple that I’m over looking or simply doing wrong; but I have not been able to find out what it is. Can anyone give me a little guidance here?
