I was typing up a post and hit “publish”. Got an error message that said “Are you sure you want to do this?” and there was only one choice that said “go back”. So I did. And tried again. And again. Then got the “Not Found Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.” error message.

Went back to dashboard – everything is gone – all posts, all pages. The theme and widgets are there.

THEN I tried to upgrade (and did successfully), which did not fix it.
I disabled all plug-ins – did not fix it.
I switched back to 2010 theme – did not fix it.

So, my entire page says not found…HELP!!!

P.S. Categories and tags are still there – and when I click on the posts under a category, I still get the not found message.

Do the posts show up on the back end of your site? Can you see them in the dashboard?

No. They have all disappeared. I can click on categories and I can see the numbers of Posts in each category but then when I click on the number to bring up all the posts in that category it says there are zero posts. There are supposed to be hundreds.

No no, on the dashboard go to the wp-admin/edit.php page ?? Are your posts listed THERE?

If not, ask your host if they can do a backup of last night.

    No, they are all gone.

I host my own pages, and I have no idea of how to do a backup that is a previous date…

I had the same issue today.

I asked for help but finally the issue resolved by myself !!! ??

In fact , I checked in my Cpanel them MySql tool. (without going in the PhpMYadmin panel)
I pushed the button “REPAIR” the database and Plop !!! Post are here again !!!

So check ALWAYS the health of DB !
    Inside Cpanel > Mysql DB

Hope it will be useful !

    vaima01, please don’t sign your posts ??

But yes, do try to repair your DB. If that fails, and you really are you own host, you need to start making backups.

My ISP makes backups on top of the ones I do, so maybe they do for you as well?
