Help Appearing on Google News

Hello. I’m looking to get some help regarding my news site.
It’s been active for a year (although I recently took a break from posting) and I’ve been using your plugin since the beginning.
Unfortunately I’m struggling to get articles to appear on Google News even now. My RSS feeds seem to work. I have RSS Apps on my phone that see new articles, and they even appear in the Publisher Center.
However I’m getting no impressions even when I search very specific and exact terms.
For some reason Google isn’t crawling my site, and new webpages simply aren’t being indexed, despite having the correct RSS feeds (I think).
Do you still own this plug-in? I tried to make contact through the support page on the dashboard, but received an email from what looked like a third-party directing me to another website to purchase something? Seemed strange?
Really I’m hoping you can point me in the right direction or even audit my site. I will pay of course, or I can upgrade to premium if you still own the plug-in.
I really want to push this Site this year, but with new articles never being indexed, even a year in, it’s hard to find motivation to continue…
Any advice would be appreciated.

I don’t own the plugin anymore, it is owned by Magazine3, which is now managing and maintaining GN Publisher.

Trying to rank in Google News has been the bane of many publishers. It has caused a lot of frustration.
Being approved in the Publisher Center using GN Publisher gives you a followable Publication in Google News, lists your site as a ‘news source’ that can be looked up by name (in the search bar, when you type in your site’s name, it should appear in the drop down menu), and some control of branding (the images/logos you include in the Publisher Center).
However, all of that is completely disconnected from ranking on the Google News home/sections/search-results pages. Sites do not need to even be approved in the Publisher Center to rank on those pages in Google News.
Ranking in Google News is determined by an algorithm. According to Google, any site that follows the Google News Content Policies is eligible to be considered for ranking in Google News. Here are some additional tips from Google for ranking in Google News.
Overall though, it’s very difficult right now to be approved by the algo to be included in the Google News rankings. Lots and lots of publishers are trying to get in and few have been successful. I would suggest just focusing on creating great news content for your readers, improving “EAT” signals, and practicing good seo basics, but I wouldn’t spend a lot of time or put all of your hope into ranking on Google News. Too many publishers feel that ranking in Google News is their only hope and they fail because they can’t force their way in. Try to find other audiences and hopefully as your site continues to grow, Google News will pick it up. Don’t put all of your hopes on ranking in Google News. It’s been very difficult and has frustrated many publishers,
