• Greetings,

    I have a strange problem.

I got a new installation of wordpress and set my website which is online now.

    https://www.qitay.com

the problem is before I had a network installation but I kept having this error message whenever I tried to make a new user from the front end
    ERROR: Domain not allowed

Since changing the htaccess file wasn’t, I deleted everything and made a fresh new installation without the MU setting, so I thought to skip the problem for a while.
The problem is that I just realized that the problem is still there. I can make users from the backend but in the front end I keep having this error message.

Any suggestion to where I should look to fix it.

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks but, as I said, my problem ain’t the back end but the front end that gives this message

    ‘ERROR: Domain not allowed’

any clues to why and where I can fix this?

Try asking your hosts for assistance.

Just to make sure you haven’t forgot, verify dashboard -> Settings -> General:
Do you have checked “Anyone can register”?

    1: dashboard -> Settings -> General:
    All checked and done

    2. Try asking your hosts for assistance.
Hosts don’t give assistance for something that is obviously a PHP code issue or redirect issue.

Anyone that has experienced this sort of error before?

    Thanks

This is a hosting issue – not a WordPress one.

So you were asked to contact your hosts for assistance because this issue can be caused by some limitation in hpptd.conf and you don’t have access to it see this for some extra info.

ain’t…I have this hosting for testing
I have tried several wordpress and drupal and that’s the first time this problem occurs therefore is a script problem

I am pretty sure the htaccess needs some hack but my tries haven’t fix the problem.

There is no “ERROR: Domain not allowed” error message in WordPress core.

Then is classipress…still is a wordpress plugin.

so what now? should I move the question to another part of the forum?

    Then is classipress

The theme? Or a plugin of the same name?

Ether way you can deactivate the plugin/ change the theme and see if you have the same issue this way you can determine if it’s classipress the issue or not.
Also, make sure you are up to date to classipress (if it is the theme they just released a new version)
Classipress theme is a premium theme you can also try their support forum.

    Thanks everybody.

message is coded into MU…I had a previous installation that I downgraded and this must have screw up something in the DB.

a fresh installation as fixed the problem.

    hallo LLUD,

i have the same problem here. what do you mean with a fresh installation? do you mean re-installing the wordpress?
