Help! Can't upload photos or themes – error messages

  • Today I started having trouble uploading photos and new themes. I have several WP sites hosted by BlueHost. All use various StudioPress themes.

    When I upload a photo, I get “failed to write file to disk” error. Every few hours I can upload one but most of the time it locks me out.

    Problem two started today as well — I try to upload a new theme directly from my computer where I have them downloaded and I get “The uploaded file could not be moved to /home7/thatdeal/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2011/10.”

    I checked with BlueHost and they checked everything and see nothing wrong. They tell me it could be something with a PHP/Wordpress. I am NOT technical at all and need some direction here?! What’s going on! ?? ?? Help! ??

  • Check your settings for where your uploads are stored at and make sure it is in: wp-content/uploads
    (With no other entries or slashes before, or after it)

    If that doesn’t fix it, try deactivating plugins and see if it makes a difference.
