Help!! Custom Post Type Featured Image Wouldn’t Show Up On Facebook

What SEO/social sharing plugins are you making use of? We don’t have any influence on any OpenGraph tags that may or may not show up for a given URL, so anything you’re doing in that realm will be the best place to check on. I also know that Facebook has caches for URLs, so if these are posts that originally did not have a featured image, but do now, the caches may still be holding on to the previous version.

Hi I am not sure if it’s a cache issue, when I post the custom post type link on facebook, the image does appear while I am edit my facebook post, but as soon as it is posted, the featured image disppeared.

I tried to clear my facebook cache using the link you provided, it didn’t help.

Not sure what to tell ya with regards to how the featured images behave once publishing a post on Facebook. It sounds like Facebook finds the image initially, which says to me that your OpenGraph tags on your website are fine and sharing valid URLs.

What’s the domain and one or two of the posts attempted to share? I can give it a try on my own as well as run it through Facebook’s debugger tool to see if anything stands out to me.

I eventually downloading this plugin to insert Open Graph tags all over the website and the issue is resolved!!
