help customizing my theme

Im working in the “l2aelba-2” theme, and looking for some help, as I am a beginner to wordpress…I am trying to change the picture in the heading in this theme, and can’t find the correct file. Also, I am having the same problem deleting the standard “home” page, as I created my own.

I have used this forum previously to solve both of these problems in other themes, although this one is different from what I have previously experienced.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
