• I went to my dashboard to approve comments on today’s post. I saw the updates and clicked on the option to update WP to version 3.0.5 I believe it said. Did the automatic update and now my entire blog is GONE. Completely. No admin panel, no dashboard, no nothing. When I click on the admin link I receive this message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_option() in /home/amyropho/public_html/blog/wp-admin/admin.php on line 22

And when I click on the link for the blog I receive this message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp() in /home/amyropho/public_html/blog/wp-blog-header.php on line 14

This blog is incredibly important to my business. I have no idea what happened other than I did the update WP said was needed. I run the ProPhoto3 theme on there. And of course support is on vacation. Does anyone have ANY ideas??? I am desperate.

  • I ran an update to wp back a few months ago, and my all my posts and pages disappeared, leaving a white screen where my URL leads.

I was (am still) pretty green on this, but my host provider happen to know a thing or two, and retrieved it. I was told that the update “froze my tables”. I called hosting, and asked them to “repair” NOT replace tables.
    miraculously it worked.

Thanks, I have contacted my host. I see I am not the only person with a problem. Anyone have other ideas?
