Help Embedding WordPress

  • I’m working on a site for someone. She already has a website and wants WordPress to be integrated with the layout. I’ve been trying to do either the following:
    1. Include wordpress with php
    2. Do a theme that includes myheader.php and myfooter.php

    Neither have worked. Is there a better option? Number two makes the most sense, but it still doesn’t work.
