Help! Fatal error after latest Genesis update

    I received this fatal error message after the latest Genesis update:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function genesis_html5() in /home/shorts17/public_html/wp-content/plugins/genesis-simple-edits/plugin.php on line 102

    Now I’m unable to access my admin panel, much help is appreciated.

  • Hello short,
    This is a plugin error. Try reinstalling it.
    To be able to access your Dashboard, you should go to File Manager in your Cpanel or access via FTP and do the following:

    wp-content –> plugins –> and delete folder named “genesis-simple-edits”

    Thank you so so so much, it worked! I had a panic attack for a while. Do you know why that happened? I didn’t change anything in my parent theme files though.

    I am having the same error. I can’t FTP because the account isnt working. (I just took this project over for someone else). I changed the theme and now I can’t access the Dashboard or anything without it giving me the same error. Any help is greatly appreciated!
