hello to all, I have been using the free version of forminator for a very short time, I do not yet have full control of the application. I would like to know if it is possible to make a calculator of measurements and prices for embroidery? For example, who calculates according to a scale of measurements which is attached to different prices and which is attached to the quantity? for example something like this: If your badge is 6 cm wide by cm 9 high, the total dimension is 15 cm. The unit price is in the size category ‘up to 15 cm’. If you want to buy 30 badges, you only pay €99,99 (30 x €3.33) including VAT.

    thank you all ????

and is it possible to put several prices and several dimensions? Thanks

    Hi @viki0307

The unit price is in the size category ‘up to 15 cm’. If you want to buy 30 badges, you only pay €99,99 (30 x €3.33) including VAT.

So I assume if the total dimension is 30cm, then it should calculate a different price based on that?

The form is meant for simple calculations, at the moment there isn’t a feature to calculate prices based on dimensions added dynamically.

What you could do is add a “select” fields via which you could add all the predefined dimensions like 6×7, 6X8 cm etc as shown in the following screenshot:

Then you can add a price for each value created in the select field under the “Calculation” tab as shown in the following screenshot:

Where the 10 in the above screenshot would be the price of badge up to 6X7, 20 would be the price for badge up to 6X8 cm etc

You can then add Number field to add the “Total Badges” and add a new Calculation field to multiply the total badges and the price.

Could you please check and see whether the above fits your needs? Looking forward to your response.

Hello Nithin, thank you for your quick answer!
And indeed I want to make a calculator that has the functionality to calculate prices based on the dimensions added dynamically and the quantity.

The total dimension in this example and up to 15cm, the calculation and the quantity (30) x the price that differs depending on the quantity and measures of the embroidery.

I would have to add a lot of number fields for the price and add several number fields for the quantity and make several number fields for the measures? So that each field is in connection with a single measure * quantity * price
Is there a limit to the number of fields?
If you have time, can you take a look at the IBADGES site in the pricing tab?

I already added a price in the quantity but in this case the best would be to make a single category price, quantity and measures?
Thanks for bringing me your ideas ????

    Looking forward to your reply,
    Sincerely

    Hi @viki0307,

Another workaround, if you want to use dimensions dynamically, would be to add multiple calculations with visibility conditions. Please check the following form export regarding an example.

    https://pastebin.com/QLvLPxgi

However, the limitation with the above would be that you’ll need to add a “Calculation” field for each and every use case with conditions for “Total dimensions” up to 15cm etc

Is there a limit to the number of fields?

No, there isn’t any limits with adding fields.

Please check and see whether the above workflows helps in moving forward.

    Kind Regards,

    Nithin

Hello Nithin, I hope you are doing well.  I allow myself to contact you again because I am a little lost with what I am trying to do with my calculator.  I may have some logic issues lol.  so I had done it in a different way from yours.  I created a number of pieces field (quantity), with several subfields from 0 to 31, from 31 to 50 etc. then I took a calculation field in which I put a single price according to the  dimension that I added in visibility , I created several calculation fields with its methods.  I used it for total measurements of my rectangle and it works very well.  but I encounter several problems when I try to add on the same field where there are already total measures (of my rectangle) the method measures diameters is less than 8.10, or measures diameters is better than 8.10 and measures  diameters is less than 13. I don’t know where I went wrong.. the total calculation for the diameter is not showing.

Finally the other problems that I encounter is that I cannot add the price according to the measurement for each quantity of the list field which is called thermo adhesive, Velcro, pin and metallic Wire .. when I add  one of its options I have an addition which is carried out and not a multiplication of quantity * single price * one options selected… and I do not know where to carry out this calculation.  because as I explained I have several prices, several measures and several quantities.  I’m lost ….  .  for metallic wire i would like to add 20% more on each single price when metallic wire option is selected.  I did the calculation mettalic wire * 0.2 but it’s the same I don’t know where to put it.  do you know if it is possible to do all this with the free version of forminator?  where is it a waste of time?  thank you for taking the time to read me.

    Have a nice day !!?

    Hi @viki0307

The best way to determine how to configure the fields in the form is with an example of the calculations. In this type of scenario, we advise to create a Google Sheet document (or any spreadsheet that can be accessible online) with examples of the calculations you will need. Please share a link to the form, so we can provide further recommendations based on the expected results. Could you help us with that information?

By the way, the link shared above shows the following message.
You need access. Ask for access, or switch to an account with access.

Could you verify the permission so we can access that online resource?

    Kind regards

    Luis
