Help from Staging to Live

    Excellent Plugin. Worked perfectly. However, I have a completely redesigned website sitting in my staging area with no idea how to publish it. I was under the impression that there would be a simple solution for this, since simple is really what plugins are for.

    Is there a non-technical tutorial anywhere that outlines how to publish my new website? Or anyone willing to do the work for a fee? I used WP Staging because I am not familiar with coding, databases, etc.

    If these changes do not contain a lot of database changes you can just copy your plugin and theme files via FTP from the staging site to the new site.

    (Use a maintenance mode plugin to disable the live site as long as you are working on it)

    If there are DB changes i recommend the plugin WP Migrate DB which can copy all DB entries to the production site but keep in mind that WP Migrate DB will overwrite all entries in your live site if you do not exclude specific db rows so if you have posts on your live site which do not exist in the staging site you have to exclude these posts from migrating.

    If you have no coding skills it’s probably much easier than to recreate manually all the steps you did on the staging site on the live site!

    Before you overwrite any data on your live site:
    BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP
