• I signed up for a wordpress years ago… think 6 or more. I have long since forgotten all my login (believe me I tried multiple combinations) so I registered again. (It let me use the same exact user name associated with the current live, if uber ancient, wordpress) I need to be able to figure out how to gain access to the old one so I can remove it, or at least update it. I am about to start a new business and I would like to decrease my dead foot prints. I really was hoping for a way to contact admin of some sort, as I remember no login info, so I can verify that it is indeed my wordpress… so I can get it removed. Any help, advice, or hopefully a point in the right direction would be so very greatly appreciated.

Is this a self-hosted site or a WordPress.COM site that you mean?

I believe it is a wordpress.com site, I tried to build a hosted website years ago but it was a paid subscription which lapsed, again, years ago… so if I had it hosted the content would already be gone for lack of payment. I am truly confused on this. I believe I made this back when wordpress came with free hosting… you can look at my wordpress page as it is the same as my user name if that helps. As you can see I din’t get far, so really didn’t learn how to use wordpress.

What’s the URL? If it’s WordPress.COM then you’re posting in the wrong place and need to ask in the correct forum.

    https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/support

This forum here is for self-hosted WordPress.ORG software installations.

    This link explains the differences.

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    It’s a common misunderstanding. ??

BUT… it may not be WordPress.COM which is why I’m asking for the URL.
