• I need to change from HTTP to HTTPS. I have searched other areas but I’m not sure if I have found an answer to my problem. I saw a couple of posts that suggested changing the .htaccess file. BUT, I’m new at this and don’t want to mess anything up.

The host for my site (Network Solutions) provides a shared SSL. However, when I created the WorldPress site (using the automatic installation on the Network Solutions web site) it did not set up for HTTPS. This was just a few weeks ago. However, the original site (www.memoriesofnakedfanny.com) has been up for a number of years before I changed it to WorldPress.

So… what do I need to do to go from a HTTP site to a HTTPS site?

    Hi there,

Initial checks show the SSL may not be installed or set up on your domain – did the installation of the SSL confirm it had been set up? Once it’s set up in your hosting account, it’s pretty straightforward to set it up in WordPress and redirect traffic through it.

OK… thanks for the quick replies. it seems like my SSL is not free with Network Solutions… or at least they are making it difficult to do anything without paying them for it. So… I’ll get back to this when I get that part figured out.
