I like Better Search because it’s the only search plugin that works on my site/template. I’m a total newbie and don’t know how to code.

However, the search result page shows a really huge ‘search again’ clickable box/link on the right side of the screen.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this? By the way, I’m using the plugin’s .php page.

    Thanks.

Can you post a link to your page?

Thanks for the quick reply. I made a temporary page.

First widget is google custom search. I’d like to replace it with WordPress’ built-in search.

Please use widget 2 and search anything.

This is because of the way your theme is styling the button with the ID #searchsubmit

Check style.css of your theme, the above ID should be around line 55. You need to remove the position:absolute and top:0 lines

    Thanks.

But if I deactivate the plugin, the result looks fine.

That’s because the plugin adds the search button, which is supposed to sit next to the search box that is generated on your results page.
