• So I accidentally uninstalled WP. I didnt notice the “Uninstall” button that was next to the “Install” button. I was trying to install another WP on a different directory folder.

Anyways, I have not backed up my site in 3 months. Am I S.O.L.? or do I have a chance of recovering my posts, etc.?

    Thanks
    Mark

  • Your posts are in the database. Check if the WordPres tables are in your database via phpMyAdmin. If they are still there, backup your database using phpMyAdmin and backup your files/folders in server. If the uninstall button also erased database, ask your webhost for a copy of their last backup of your database – good webhosts usually have those.

    Hi,

You need to restore your blog from the available backup at your end or ask the hosting service provider to restore your wordpress database and web folder from the backup of their end.

    Thanks,

Ok, The <username>_Wpress Database is deleted. MY hosting service does back them up but I waited to long to have it restored, since they only keep the backup one week.

I still see the : wp-admin, wp-content, and wp-includes folders with files still in the main html folder.

Is there any other way to get around this?

The only other alternative but somewhat iffy, is hoping Google indexed your site and still has cache of your posts/page. If so, then copy the text cached and paste it to notepad and save in your computer for manual posting of your Article/comments.
