HELP! I broke a client’s website

  • Hi all,

    I was fixing up some of the sections that were not displaying correctly by switching on and off plugins. When I touched one of them, I got this message and I can’t seem to get back into WordPress even if I try to go through SiteGround. There seems to be a back up but not sure if this will fix it.

    Message I received:

    glad to hear there is a backup available to restore if needed

    looks like an error with a plugin pt-novo-shortcodes

    if you can get to the file manager in SiteGround webhosting, rename the folder for the plugin pt-novo-shortcodes this will deactivate the plugin. deactivating a plugin with a problem might help you to be able to access WP-Admin area for further troubleshooting. contact the plugin’s specific support team for guiadance to fix the plugin.
