    Hi Alex,

I am having trouble — I installed the plugin, activated and I added a few Woo Custom Email Messages to the list; the Custom Emails setup in the product itself works (I set one product to activate during the “Processing” function, and After Order table).

Nothing happens. When I send myself an Invoice (after Processing/Completed in WooCommerce), it just doesn’t print anything in the field.

I did try adding the Custom Email to the Completed tab as well, and then tried it on both Completed & Processing… no luck.

So I am stuck. Any thoughts?

    Hi @jesseswp,

    Thanks for using my plugin!

Without looking into the setup of your WordPress install, it is hard to say why Woo Custom Emails Per Product may not be working.

When I test on a fresh WordPress install, using only WooCommerce and this plugin, it all works as expected every time with no problems.

Most of the time, this can happen because another plugin (or code in your theme) is conflicting by trying to change the default WooCommerce emails or how they are sent.

If you know of any email-related plugins running on your site, you can try disabling those one at a time and testing this plugin until you find what is causing the problem.

Thanks and good luck using Woo Custom Emails Per Product!

You are correct — I went through and systematically turned off one plugin at a time… and it was a WP_Cron plugin that was the problem. S0, I have setup a few instances of Woo Custom Emails & so far so good. Thanks!

    @jesseswp — that’s great news!

That makes sense why you weren’t receiving ANY emails — the cron jobs were blocked.

Thanks for also following up to let me know the issue, this info will help other users troubleshoot if they have this same problem.

Thanks again and good luck using Woo Custom Emails Per Product!

Can you please update the plugin so it is safe to use with latest WP versions?

Message says it is not tested with my WordPress version, which is 5.5.1

@bodhi1970 I can confirm the plugin works with WP up to version 5.6a, which I have tested on and has not been released yet. You are safe to use the plugin! ??

I’m reading this because I too am having the problem that it’s not working. I’ll go and look for email related plugins.. Do you know if Gravity Forms is an issue?

    (@alexmustin)

    Hi @ria_amp,

GravityForms should not be an issue, because my plugin only adds content in the default WooCommerce emails with action hooks… GravityForms shouldn’t be affecting the way those emails are sent because GravityForms sends its own emails.

Do you have any other WooCommerce or email -related plugins installed?

Thank you Alex! I’m a new WooCommerce user so the error was all mine! Your plug in working just fine. And I’ve had help in building the site so I didn’t realize that an Completed order is actually something that has to happen manually. Makes sense. It’s working very nicely.. now to figure out how to automate order completion (yes I see the plugin. )

    Great response time!
