Help: Lost all whilst tranferring .com to .org

Hope someone can help me.
Moved my .com blog to .org. Got all pleased with myself for managing to go through all of the steps but at the last hurdle, importing my file, it seemed all happy and howdy, but nothing is there!!!!
Has someone got the golden answer pleaaaase?
