Help me diagnose this strange error

  • Twice today, when I tried to navigate to my site, I got the “error establishing a database connection” screen. My site has been up and running error free for several months now and this has never happened. I have not changed anything in the past few days that might have caused this. In both cases, hitting “refresh” brings my site in, but the issue still bothers me because there is no guarantee a visitor will know to hit refresh.

    What gives?

  • I just had no problems. Have you checked with your host to see if they’ve been doing any maintance? Upgrading?

    Yes, an intermittent error like that must be something on your host’s side.

    And, by the way, just FYI, I was NOT lame, and I’m not anymore, anyway! ??
