Help me with this WordPress error on my website

  • MY wordpress website has been working fine. But i just woke up and found this error

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_LNUMBER in /home/african/public_html/wp-includes/cron.php on line 25

    What could be the problem?

  • Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of your current version of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    I checked my version and it’s a 3.3.1 version. But i can’t seem to find a place to download that exact version. I’ll be glad to be guided. Thanks.

    Once you have access to the site again, backup your database and upgrade WordPress asap. Your site is currently running a very real risk of being hacked.

    I just edited about 4 files in the wp-includes folder and it came back on. Now, i have to upgrade it to a latest version like you suggested.
