Help! Moved site to root directory, all permalinks broken!

  • I am a writer with very basic WordPress skills. GoDaddy is my host. I designed my blog in a subfolder, then moved it to the root directory. All permalinks broken and when I attempt to post or view anything other than the front page I get the 403 screen of death…Help?

    Would it be best to start all over, redo the site from the root directory? I need “the wordpress for idiots” version of a fix.
