• Hi there,
I updated some plugins today. My dashboard page is totally blank! Everything is blank. I can’t create a new post or anything!!
I would appreciate any help I could get.
    Thanks so much,
    Sarah

Given that the problems started after you updated (or attempted to update) some plugins, the first thing to do would be to disable all plugins through the backend.

To do that, access your site via FTP and navigate to the /wp-content folder in your WordPress directory. Find the /plugins folder and rename it to plugins.old. This will disable all plugins and hopefully give you access to the dashboard again.

Assuming that works, you can then rename plugins.old back to plugins, then gradually reactivate your plugins to work out which one(s) caused the problem.

Thanks for answering CW! Here is my problem I’m not sure how to access via the FTP. Again any suggested reading or help is appreciated.

When you signed up for web hosting, your host would have given you FTP login details. You’ll need to use those in conjunction with an FTP client, which acts as a kind of file manager/explorer.

Alternatively, your hosting control panel may have some kind of in-built file manager, which will allow you to do much the same thing.

Thanks I found the FTP at my host. Waiting for some communication from them. Thanks again. Hopefully I will have this straightened out by Monday.

If you do not know how to communicate via FTP then simple step is:

go to your cpanel and can perform steps for renaming or deletion of latest plugin quite easily.

same problem with my site shamitabh boxoffice collection

i have checked the files using filezilla software to check the file in my server. all files are present. I has also checked the Databse that is full correct and every data is present in the database.
