    Hi everyone,

I’m facing an issue where the checkmarks in the checkboxes on my website aren’t displaying. I’ve checked the appearance settings and customization options but haven’t found a solution. The site isn’t live yet; I’m working on a staging version. Does anyone know what might be causing this problem or how to fix it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  • Hello @cappeddog,

    Thank you for reaching out,

I can’t access to the URL you’ve sent:
    https://postimg.cc/bG0pvb69

For troubleshooting, please do the following steps and let us know the results:

    0. Enable the primary theme(if you are using a child theme).
    1. Head over to WP Dashboard > Plugins.
    2. Deactivate all plugins.
    3. Then, first, activate Ocean Extra plugin.
    4. Check your issue.
    5. Then, activate your plugins one by one
    6. After activation of any plugins, check your issue

Note 1: You can try troubleshooting on the staging website/or on a fresh installation and ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme and plugins(before updating, please get a full backup from your website).

Note 2: If you have any cache plugin or server cache(CDN / Browser Cache and Cookies and …), you need to clear its cache contents or disable them to see your changes. Also, remember to click on the regenerate all assets file and data in Elementor > Tools(if you have Elementor).

Also, you can tell us how we can replicate your steps to arrive at the issue on a fresh WordPress installation; we’ll check it deeply.

    I hope it helps.

    Hi Shahin,

Thanks for the help! I apologize for the delay.

Following your instructions, I’ve deactivated all plugins and found that the issue still occurs. I then switched from OceanWP to the Hello Elementor theme, which resolved the checkmark visibility issue in the checkboxes. So it seems to be a problem with OceanWP.

My site is still not live but you can access the new staging site here https://staging39.simplicbd.ca/

Any help would be much appreciated

    Hello @cappeddog,

    Thank you for reaching out,

But where on your site is the checkbox not displayed? I didn’t understand where the checkbox should be displayed on your website from your explanations.

I’ve checked it here and saw no issue:

    Hi Shahin,

Sorry about that, it’s only seems to be occurring at the checkout page.

You can add this to the cart and then go to the cart. You should be able to see there that the checkmarks do not work in the checkboxes.

    Here’s a screenshot: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GubmdIikz9UnRqr4YZNmN3h96HRTqTLw/view?usp=drive_link

The ‘Subscribe for special offers…’ is checked but as you can see, there’s no actual checkmark.

    Thanks again,

    Brian

    Hello @cappeddog,

    Thank you for reaching out,

I’ve checked your website and saw no issue,
However, I saw you are using a strong cache system, which can affect it; please see this screenshot: https://postimg.cc/Lqy28Rjc.

So I think it seems it’s a cache issue, if you have any cache plugin or server cache(CDN / Browser Cache and Cookies and …), you need to clear its cache contents or disable them to see your changes. Also, in Elementor, please don’t forget to click on regenerate all assets files and data in Elementor > Tools; finally, use hard-refreshing keys to recheck the issue.
To refresh the page, please follow the steps explained in this link:
    https://www.documate.org/automation/what-is-a-hard-refresh-how-to-do-a-hard-refresh-in-any-browser/
    https://www.usmobile.com/blog/how-to-do-a-hard-refresh-on-your-browser/

To clear cookies, use this icon: https://postimg.cc/0rtp7SS9.

    Summary:
    Win: Ctrl+Shift+R
    Mac: Shift+Command+R

    I hope it helps.
    Best Regards
