Help needed with Discover Theme

I have several questions/ problems with it !

1. I would like to have the header and logo as fullwidth. I’ve tried several ways, but they don’t seem to work.

2. How to remove the “Write your Headline here” Box?

3. How to replace the slider with a better plugin slider?

4. And lastly, how could I make the menu button images be on top of the text, so they would take up so much space.

I am quite a noob at CSS/HTML, perhaps someone can help ??
