Help! – No Space Between Gallery Thumbnails

I am using Fancybox for WordPress gallery. The problem is when I view my gallery page the thumbnails are butted up against each other with no space between them.
Is this normal? I would have thought Fancybox would have a default space between the thumbnails or am I missing something? Thanks.
