HELP – Not receiving plugin update notifications

  • I’m not entirely certain when this problem started though a few weeks ago I realised I’ve stopped receiving dashboard update notifications for plugins.
    I have a test site I host locally and I am still receiving the updates there.
    I am not a developer and the few threads I’ve found regarding this have been over my head.
    Just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar and whether they can offer some straightforward advice for how to resolve this issue?
    At the moment I have no idea how to go about checking for updates and actually updating my plugins. Would ideally like for everything to get back to normal and start receiving notifications and having the ability to update from my dash again.
