Help On Theme – The Gazette Edition

    Hello,

    Has anyone used THE GAZETTE EDITION by WOOTHEMES? My website (www.thecebuchronicle.com) has been using it for just about a week now.

    May I ask some help regarding this theme. In the main page, there is a photo slideshow which changes from one photo to another. I was hoping to decelerate the speed of the photo changing, which I don’t see inside WP control panel.

    Or is this even possible or not?

    Goto: Theme folder -> Includes -> featured.php

    You will find this code in top:

    function startGallery() {
var myGallery = new gallery($('myGallery'), {
timed: true,
showArrows: true,
delay: 5000,
defaultTransition: "fadeslideleft",
showCarousel: false,
showArrows: false
});
}
window.onDomReady(startGallery);

    Just increase the “delay” value to slowdown the image transition speed. Now it is 5 Seconds.

    I hosted my FLASH BANNERS somewhere else, at OPENX.org
    Then I changed the PHP code for the AD BANNERS and the TEMPLATE with the ZONE ID of the BANNER from OPENX. I installed the PLUGIN and run it.

    If you want, I can show you the code.

    my mistake. I did not install any PLUGIN. The PHP code has been altered to link directly to OPENX

    I’m having an issue after adding a post how to get it to be a feature in the slideshow.

    Hello jwood,

    Here is how I did it. I figured I’d post it here instead of emailing to you so that others who have the same problem can view it too.

    1. Make a LARGE photo for the FEATURED PHOTO and a THUMBNAIL.
    2. Upload them to your MEDIA DIRECTORY (see photo figure01.jpg)
    3. Make a NEW POST. At the lower part of your post, you will see the following: EXCERP, SEND TRACKBACK, CUSTOM FIELDS. Choose CUSTOM FIELDS and enter the URL for the following values FEATURED & THUMB. (see photo figure02.jpg)
    4. Save your POST and it should work from there.
