• Please help- my website has a warning about phishing- and I don’t even take credit cards! I don’t sell anything or ask anyone for ANY information of theirs. It is just an opinion blog. How can I get this removed?

    the alerts says

    what is going on????

    Thanks in advance-

Install WordFence and do a high-sensitivity scan on your site. If it shows up as clean, ask Google to revisit it.

    OK thanks.

By the way…where does google get the right to do anything to my website? Does WordPress give them permission? I don’t get it.

    thank you very much

Google doesn’t do anything to your website. It detected bad stuff on it and is advising people about it. WordPress has nothing to do with it.

Actually it is on my website address- which is my website. That is incredible. How can I lodge a complaint with WordPress. I think that is outrageous. Google, the internet police

1, You can’t “lodge a complaint with WordPress”. WordPress has nothing to do with this.

    2. You need to fix your website then follow Google’s instructions on how to have the warning removed.

hmmm…seems to me google has no right to do this to my website and WordPress should be pissed off about it.

who made them the Internet police? They are partly one giant phishing scam, BTW.

    Ironic.

OK, this is no longer a WordPress question.

@mystobob follow the instructions from Steven

Install WordFence and do a high-sensitivity scan on your site. If it shows up as clean, ask Google to revisit it.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi, how did you solve the problem?

    Thanks.

there was a link to google in the warning message and I wrote them a nasty email and it went away. I find it really crazy and absurd that they could do that to a totally unaffiliated website!! What are they the world internet police???

    good luck
