    Hello!

    Came across this plugin today, and decided to try it out. I’ve walked through the Installation Guide and the FAQ, but I seem to be having some trouble.

    I’m using this as an individual, so I’m more interested in using the shortcodes on a WordPress page not controlled by the plugin. Here is that page, which also includes a screenshot of the actual text that I have entered: https://lukemcfadden.com/cambodia-survey/

    Here is the cause link: https://lukemcfadden.com/give/surveytrip/

    When inspecting the elements, there is nothing being pulled in to populate the donate button?

    Am I missing something?

    Here is what I copied from Paypal to enter into the button field in the plugin settings

    <form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post"target=”_top”>

    <input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_s-xclick">

    <input type=”hidden” name=”hosted_button_id” value=”QZWECSK5TELUC”>
    <input type="image"src=”https://www.paypalobjects.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_donateCC_LG.gif&#8221; border=”0″ `name=”submit” alt=”PayPal – The safer, easier way to pay online!”>
    <img alt="" border="0" src="https://www.paypalobjects.com/en_US/i/scr/pixel.gif"width=”1″ height=”1″>
    `</form>

    The [pfund-edit] and [pfund-donate] shortcodes only work on the cause/campaign pages. The only shortcodes that will work on other pages are the ones listed on the campaign page in the admin dashboard.

    Hum. So, I’m a little confused. The plugin then is designed for a larger user base, with the hierarchy being Causes -> Campaigns?

    Right now, I’m looking to just have 1 fundraising page, with a method of allowing people to donate as well as track progress towards the goal.

    I’m unable to edit the details of the Campaign page though it seems, only the “mother cause”? The Causes setup the template yes? So, I should create the Cause, and then create a Campaign as if I’m the only user?

    You mentioned that certain shortcodes don’t work outside of cause/campaign pages, is there a way around that? I understand the framework (or at least more than I did before I started!). If I were able to embed the process into an existing page that I could have more control over the customization, then that would work better for my particular instance.

    I’m ok with a “no” for an answer, just asking to learn.

    The plugin is structured around the ideas of Causes and Campaigns, for a larger user base, so if you want just one campaign, then yes, you need to first create the cause and then create a campaign from that cause.

    As far as shortcodes working outside of the cause/campaign pages, it would require a decent rework of the plugin. It could be done, but it wasn’t how the plugin was designed or intended.
